Family fun in North Carolina

Summer is among us, the kids are out of school and you need something fun and family friendly for them to do. I got you covered!

SciWorks is located in Winston-Salem it has a planetarium, nature trails, and many different exhibits. You can have a picnic in the outdoor park, visit the different gardens ( butterfly, hummingbird, wildflower) and get a glimpse of some of the animals that are native to our state.

NC aquarium at Fort Fisher is located at Kure beach. This is my most favorite place to take the kids. I absolutely can not say enough about this place. there are so many cool things to do here from touching a live shark, Climb Adventure Reef and come face to snout with an albino alligator. You can even rent the aquarium for special events! How cool is that?! The thing that most impresses me is their conservation efforts. They have a snack bar called Shark Bites...So make a day of it, I promise it is going to awesome.

You can not talk about kid friendly and not mention Carowinds. Known as the thrill capital of the Southeast, it sure does live up to its name. Located in Charolette  there are so many fun and exciting things to do. From the obvious thrill rides, to Planet Snoopy, and Dinosaurs Alive. Carowinds also does SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt during October (so cool).
